Our mission as a collaboartive group of interprofessional providers is to synthesize and provide resources for individuals looking to explore and embrace palliative rehabilitation to improve quality of life, potential, and involvement opportunities for those managing end-of-life conditions.
Palliative rehabilitation focuses on the functional capability of an individiual and maximizes a person's potential to function and engage in community activities, even when living with a terminal illness.Â
"It supports the adaptation of ADL to maintain the best independence physically, with emotional and social backing, to lead a high QOL while respecting their wishes" (Ramanjulu, R., 2020).Â
Palliative care focuses on managing symptoms of a terminal illness, mitigating suffering, and prioritizing comfort to prepare for end-of-life.Â
